    Effective Date: August 10, 2026  |  Last Updated: August 10, 2026

    Solar Light, Inc. (“Solar Light,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of our customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, protect, and share personal information when you visit our website, request an estimate, submit an online inquiry or Google Lead Form, communicate with us, or use our services. Solar Light primarily markets and provides services in Central Oregon, including Solatube daylighting systems, traditional skylights, whole-house fans, and solar attic ventilation.

    1. Our Commitment to Your Information

    Solar Light does not sell, rent, barter, trade, or provide your personal information to lead brokers or other third parties for their own independent marketing or commercial purposes.

    We treat customer and lead information as confidential. We share it only as reasonably necessary with service providers that help us respond to inquiries, operate our business systems, provide requested services, maintain records, or meet legal and business obligations.

    2. Information We Collect

    We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

    • Your name, physical service address, billing address, email address, telephone number, and preferred contact method;
    • Details about your home, project location, roof, daylighting needs, ventilation needs, and products or services requested;
    • Information submitted through website forms, Google Lead Forms, emails, text messages, telephone calls, and in-person conversations;
    • Estimates, proposals, contracts, invoices, payment-related records, warranty information, project notes, photographs, installation information, and service history; and
    • Communications and interaction records, including form submissions, messages, emails, voicemails, call-related records, and text-message communications.

    When you visit our website, we or our service providers may also collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages viewed, and cookie or similar technology identifiers. This information may be used for website functionality, security, performance, and advertising measurement.

    3. Google Lead Forms and Advertising Measurement

    Solar Light may receive inquiries through Google Lead Forms, our website, and other approved advertising channels.

    When you submit information through a Google Lead Form, Google processes your submission under its own privacy policies and makes the lead information available to Solar Light so that we may respond to your request.

    We may use Google advertising and conversion-measurement tools to understand whether our advertising results in inquiries, appointments, or completed projects. These tools may use cookies, tags, pixels, or similar technology to measure advertising effectiveness and help us improve our marketing.

    You may manage Google’s advertising-personalization preferences through Google Ads Settings. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings.

    4. How We Use Information

    We use personal information to:

    • Respond to inquiries and provide estimates or requested information;
    • Schedule, perform, document, and support installations, repairs, inspections, and service work;
    • Communicate about appointments, estimates, projects, invoices, warranties, service needs, and customer support;
    • Maintain customer, project, warranty, accounting, and business records;
    • Send service-related communications and, where permitted, marketing communications;
    • Measure and improve our advertising, website, services, and customer experience;
    • Protect against fraud, misuse, security incidents, or unauthorized activity; and
    • Comply with legal, accounting, insurance, warranty, dispute-resolution, and other legitimate business obligations.

    5. Automated Email and Text Communications

    Solar Light uses customer relationship management (“CRM”) and communications systems that may send automated emails or text messages related to an inquiry, estimate, appointment, project, warranty, service, or customer relationship.

    Consent for automated text communications is requested through the applicable form or communication process. This Privacy Policy is not itself a request for consent.

    You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe option provided in the message. You may opt out of automated text messages by replying STOP. If you opt out of texts, Solar Light may communicate with you by another reasonable method regarding an active project, warranty, safety matter, billing matter, or requested service.

    Solar Light does not share mobile telephone numbers, text-message opt-in data, or consent records with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process this information only as needed to provide messaging or other services for Solar Light.

    6. How We Share Information

    We may share personal information only as reasonably necessary with:

    • Our CRM, scheduling, communication, accounting, website, payment, and technology service providers;
    • Google and other approved advertising or measurement providers;
    • Employees, subcontractors, suppliers, or service providers involved in completing requested work;
    • Professional advisors, insurers, legal counsel, auditors, or government authorities when necessary; and
    • A successor business in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale, or transfer of business assets.

    These parties may receive only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

    7. Retention of Information

    Solar Light maintains lead and customer records on a long-term basis. These records may include contact information, communications, estimates, contracts, invoices, project notes, photographs, installation records, service history, and warranty information.

    We may retain these records indefinitely for legitimate business purposes, including customer service, future service needs, warranty support, accounting, insurance, legal compliance, dispute resolution, historical project records, and protection of Solar Light’s rights and operations.

    For that reason, a request to delete information may not result in deletion of all records associated with an inquiry, customer relationship, transaction, project, or warranty.

    8. Data Security

    Solar Light uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    You may contact Solar Light to:

    • Ask questions about the personal information we maintain about you;
    • Request correction of inaccurate contact information;
    • Opt out of marketing emails or automated text messages; or
    • Raise a privacy-related concern.

    We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request. We may retain information when necessary for customer service, warranty, legal, accounting, insurance, security, or other legitimate purposes.

    10. Children’s Privacy

    Solar Light’s services are not directed to children under age 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

    11. Third-Party Websites

    Our website or communications may link to third-party websites or services. Solar Light is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
