Your installation is protected by a multi-layer limited lifetime warranty, subject to the full terms, conditions, and exclusions of the official Solar Light Product Warranty, Installation Warranty & Limited Lifetime Leak Guarantee.
🛠️ What Is Covered
Lifetime Installation Workmanship: Solar Light warrants that products installed by Solar Light will be installed in a professional, workmanlike manner consistent with accepted construction practices and applicable manufacturer installation requirements.
Limited Lifetime Leak Guarantee: Covered installations are guaranteed to remain free from leaks caused by defects in Solar Light’s installation workmanship and/or Covered Installation Materials supplied and installed by Solar Light.
“Lifetime” means as long as the Original Property Owner owns and occupies the home, provided the installation has not been materially altered by others and all warranty conditions continue to be satisfied.
$2,500 Interior Damage Protection: If our covered workmanship and/or Covered Installation Materials directly cause damage to interior finishes within the first two years after installation, Solar Light will repair or reimburse reasonable repair costs up to $2,500 per affected installation.
Manufacturer Product Warranty: Installed products are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. Solar Light will assist with manufacturer warranty claims whenever reasonably practical.
🏡 Your Simple Responsibilities
To keep your lifetime protection active, we ask that you help us protect your home and the installation.
Prompt Notice and Confirmation: Notify Solar Light as soon as reasonably practical, and no later than 15 calendar days after first observing a suspected leak, defect, or warranty condition. Because messages can be missed, customers are responsible for obtaining confirmation that Solar Light actually received the notice.
Protect the Installation: Avoid unauthorized modifications, repairs, sealing, caulking, painting, or alteration of Solar Light installations. Notify us before roof, attic, ceiling, solar, HVAC, insulation, or electrical work whenever reasonably possible. After third-party work that may affect the installation, continued coverage is conditioned upon Solar Light being provided reasonable access to inspect the installation. Inspections or services related to third-party work or non-covered conditions are billed at our then-current customary service rates.
Maintain the Property & Account: Property owners are responsible for ordinary homeowner maintenance, reasonable monitoring of vacation/rental homes during extended absences, and minimizing additional damage when safe to do so. Warranty benefits are conditioned on the contract being fully paid.
